A licensed person selling insurance products, building teams, or managing client relationships. In WealthSmyth, agents appear in your team hierarchy and can be assigned production or team-building roles.
Carriers (aka Providers)
Insurance companies that underwrite and issue life and annuity products. Carrier data is built into WealthSmyth for easy product selection and comparisons.
Clients
Individuals or households you’ve sold products to or manage as part of your book of business. Clients are stored in WealthSmyth under the Clients tab for quick access to profiles and notes.
Contacts
People in your warm market or imported from your phone who may become leads or clients. In WealthSmyth, contacts can be imported through the WealthSmyth Importer app and converted into leads.
Deals
Sales opportunities moving through the underwriting pipeline—from recommendation to illustration to delivery. Manage Deals in WealthSmyth’s Production Progressions to track every opportunity.
Distributors
Organizations (IMOs, FMOs, BGAs) that contract with agents and agencies to distribute products. Your Distributor’s business system is integrated into WealthSmyth for guided recruiting and production.
Downline
Team Members below you in the Distributor’s organization. View your Downline in the Teams tab to track progress and production.
Hierarchy
Your team’s organizational structure showing your Upline and Downline. The Hierarchy view in WealthSmyth helps you see your entire organization at a glance.
Household
A record that groups clients together (e.g., family) for easier relationship management. Households appear in the Clients tab for managing related policies and notes.
Leads
Potential recruits or clients in the early stages of your pipeline. Leads can be captured in WealthSmyth through the Importer app or manually added to the Leads tab.
Products
Insurance products and annuities from carriers that agents sell to clients. Products are stored in the Products tab, preloaded with carrier data for easy comparison.
Production
Total sales activity, including applications, approvals, and commissionable deals. View production metrics in the Dashboards tab and track progress using Production Progressions.
Progression
Step-by-step workflows guiding agents through recruiting, onboarding, and production stages. Progressions in WealthSmyth help you and your team know exactly what to do next.
Net License
A key milestone where an agent reaches their first $1,000 in commissions—marking them as fully licensed and ready to build their business. Track Net License status in WealthSmyth to measure early success.
Taproots
A view that lets you drill down into an individual agent’s business performance and activity. Use Taproots to coach agents and spot performance opportunities.
Team Member
Anyone within your Distributor’s organization, licensed or unlicensed, that you can recruit and manage. Team Members are displayed in the Teams tab and can be organized by hierarchy.
Teams
Groups of Team Members in your organization that you manage and track. The Teams tab in WealthSmyth shows key stats, recruiting progress, and team stages.
Upline
Your reporting line of leaders up to the Distributor. View your Upline in the Hierarchy view to understand your reporting structure.
