Promotion requirements for each GFI contract level

At GFI, your Contract Level determines your Pay Rate or how much commission you earn on production sale. Each level unlocks higher base rates, overrides, and leadership opportunities as you grow.

What these numbers mean:

  • Base Pay Rate is the minimum payout on most products.

  • Advancement happens through a combination of licensing and personal and team-production.


🎯 Field Training Roles: CFT and Elite Trainer

While your contract level controls how much you earn, these field training roles play a big part in how fast you promote.

🧭 Certified Field Trainer (CFT)

  • Once Net Licensed, you can become a CFT.

  • CFTs are allowed to take new agents into the field, lead by example, and earn training overrides.

  • To qualify, you typically need:

    • Your own sales pipeline

    • A working knowledge of MACHO

    • Approval from your upline trainer or MD

🏅 Elite Trainer

  • Elite Trainers are top-performing CFTs with a proven ability to launch and coach agents at scale.

  • They often:

    • Lead team Zooms or live trainings

    • Serve as mentors for new builders

    • Get additional leadership comp and team-building opportunities


🚀 How to Get Promoted at GFI

Advancement through Contract Levels are earned through a combination of licensing, personal production, and team growth. Each step up the ladder increases your Pay Rate and leadership opportunities. Promotions are evaluated and awarded weekly or monthly. Your upline and EMD will help you map out the fastest route based on your strengths. Here’s how it works:


🔰 Representative → Associate

Requirements:

  • Licensed and appointed

  • Submit and get paid on 1 policy

  • Recruit 1 new agent (licensed or in progress)

  • Attend required onboarding and field training


🎯 Associate → Senior Associate (SA)

Requirements:

  • Earn $1,000 in commission

  • Help 3 families (policy issued and paid)

  • Recruit 3 directs (1 of whom is licensed)

  • Complete 10 field training appointments

  • Participate in “CFT In Progress”


🧑‍💼 Senior Associate → Marketing Director (MD)

Requirements:

  • Help your team generate $20,000/month in agency production

  • Train at least 3 Net Licensed agents

  • Promote at least 1 CFT


⌚ Marketing Director → Executive Marketing Director (EMD)

Requirements:

  • Team must generate $50,000/month in production

  • Personally train 2 CFTs

  • Mentor and retain licensed team members

  • Must own a personal life policy


💍 EMD → National Vice President (NVP)

Requirements:

  • Minimum $100,000/month in total team production

  • Must have 3 MDs or above in separate legs

  • Must promote multiple EMDs

  • Attend all leadership trainings and planning calls


🏆 NVP → Senior Vice President (SVP)

Requirements:

  • Team must produce $200,000+/month

  • Develop 3+ strong legs with MDs or EMDs

  • Mentor at least one leg to NVP

  • Must be active in national recruiting and agency building
