This guide will help you get up and running with WealthSmyth. We recommend following these steps in order, as these will unlock further features and functionality for you and your team to get the most out of WealthSmyth.
We’ve broken it up into sections:
Step 1: Complete your profile
Edit your information for your Distributor's Directory, and get your account ready for internal matchup referrals, split deals and accurate business reporting.
Click your name > Your profile
Agent Information includes your photo and licensing details.
Contact Information keeps your details up to date for communication.
Distributor and Upline Information connects your user account to your organization:
Your Distributor is the company shown at the top of your hierarchy. It determines how your commissions are calculated and which providers, products, and people you see in the system.
Your Upline is the chain of leaders to whom you report. They can view your full business for coaching and reporting.
Step 2: Review your settings
Check your WealthSmyth settings to make sure your account details, plan, and billing information are correct.

Step 3: Meet Penny, your AI copilot for help and support.
WealthSmyth has three kinds of support, all inside the app—powered by Penny, your AI assistant:
Product Support: Help using the software.
Business System Support: Guidance on how to run your agency's system.
Data Support: For Professional users moving data into WealthSmyth from other systems.
Click the chat icon anytime. Penny is your always-on support agent inside WealthSmyth. You can ask questions about almost anything related to your agency. And if it's something Penny can't handle, she'll connect with a real human for more hands-on support.
Step 4: Load your contact list with the mobile app.
Your contacts first come into WealthSmyth as Leads. A Lead is just someone you might do business with — a potential team member or client. You may not know exactly where they fit yet, so you make them a Lead while you get to know them better. The more names you load, the easier it is to start your business.
WealthSmyth has three easy ways to load your contact list:
WealthSmyth Importer App: Import contacts directly from your phone in seconds.
Manual Entry: Add leads one by one using the “New” button.
Spreadsheet Import: Use our CSV template to bulk upload names from a spreadsheet.
IMPORTANT: Do not add or remove any columns in the CSV template, or the import won’t work.
Step 5: Mark where each prospect (aka Leads) stands now
Profiling and qualifying your leads is the key to building predictable income — it helps you focus your time on the leads most likely to convert.
Not all people on your contact list are the same, so you fill in what you know about them to get a sense for who's most likely to need what you offer.
We call that lead qualification, and it has three parts:
MACHO Traits — Married, Age over 30, Has Children, Homeowner, and Occupation. Check off traits that apply to build a stronger profile.
Connection Level — Tag their relationship to you to see if they’re a warm connection or more remote.
Timing — Consider if now is the right time for them to talk about what you offer.
As you qualify leads, WealthSmyth helps you focus on the best opportunities by automatically highlighting the ones most likely to move forward.
Use the Lead Stage dropdown to mark where each lead is in your process of engaging with them:
New
Working
Appointment Set
Appointment Done
Converted
Step 6: Track your pending deals (and commissions!)
In WealthSmyth, a Deal is when a lead is ready to explore working with you to solve their problem. In the world of insurance, it’s often called a Case — everything you’re working on to help the client get covered. Your Production is the value of the deals you’re working on.
Commission calculations are based on:
Premium Amount
The product’s Payout Rate
Your Contract Rate from your Distributor
Your Split % on a Deal
WealthSmyth does the math for you, so you always know what each deal is worth.
Keep your deals organized by updating Notes and Deal Stages as they progress.
Pro Tip:
Focus on earning your first $1,000 in personal commissions. Attack that goal with energy — and when you reach it, reflect on what it took to get there. That’s how you build confidence, momentum, and a fantastic business.
